The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and growing sales in the NW region of Washington. They will target market and/or segments through sales activities, actively developing relationships with existing customers, calling on new customers, providing technical support, and problem solving assistance to accounts. Responsible for assigned territory’s annual Profit and Loss (P&L) in accordance with company sales strategy and annual sales budget.

  • Grow and develop new and existing accounts in assigned territory. Actively search out new customers and provide product recommendations that are solution based and in support of company goals.
  • Develop close relationships with top accounts and regularly call on account base
  • Communicate wins, losses, complaints, test results, market conditions, product innovation ideas and projections using company processes.
  • Work with Marketing to implement new product launches, price increases, sales programs, etc.
  • Engage with customers to introduce or phase out products based on business plan and Marketing strategy.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales budget and goals as defined by Regional Sales Director.
  • All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma (GED equivalent) with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an Outside Sales role, preferably in the coatings industry or technical sales capacity. Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field preferred. Must be a motivated, self-starter with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must possess a valid driver’s license. NACE or SSPC Certification a plus.
