The Laboratory Technician supports the laboratory staff by making and testing sample batches, maintaining logs, troubleshooting, resolving problems, helping with special projects, and assists with general laboratory housekeeping.

  • Supports laboratory staff by making sample batches and test panels for both customer evaluation and research purposes.
  • Performs a variety of tests on finished goods and raw materials.
  • Keeps laboratory supplies ready by filling raw material containers and stocking substrates.
  • Maintains detailed records of batches made and tests performed.
  • Assists in resolving problems by examining and evaluating coatings and data. Identifies problems as they occur and informs laboratory staff.
  • Performs LEAN activities as determined by the company.
  • All other duties as assigned.


High School diploma or GED equivalent with prior industrial experience a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field preferred. Continuing education and short courses directly related to the company objectives and position for personal development and professional advancement are encouraged. Core competency with an understanding of Microsoft Office. Very basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics and their applications. Must be able to work in a team environment and be an active participant. Ability to prioritize and shift priorities as needed required.
